Technology has given us many gifts: Microwaves to cook faster, Cell Phones to have a way to contact someone ANY TIME OF DAY or look up anything on the go, Computers that you can carry with you or even play games and watch movies on, Wi Fi and Bluetooth that makes you untethered, Power Lines that provide energy for our lighting and all things electric, MRIs and X Rays to scan the body and find what is out of whack and diagnose, I could go on and on...

What is EMF?
EMF stands for Electronic and Magnetic Fields. Electronic and magnetic fields are energy fields (areas) that are invisible. Simply put, EMFs are radiation that is formed by electrical power and both natural and man-made forms of lighting. (NIH.gov)
There are 2 types of EMFs:

What does EMF do to your body and what are the Symptoms of EMF exposure?
There is much debate to what EMFs can do to your body. Many believe it is all in your head and that they are safe. Consulting good ole Google will give you answers that range from ABSOLUTELY HARMLESS to CANCER 🚨🚨🚨 depending on the source. Here is a list from multiple sources (scientific to laymen who share personal experiences) of what EMFs have been said to cause:- headache

Emfs are thought to affect the way our cells in our bodies communicate across membranes, as well as affect neurotransmitters (I.E. serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, histamine and more) These specific chemical substances mentioned above have many different roles in our brain and nervous system. Our bodies USE electricity to send signals through the body to the brain! EMFs can disrupt that process. When you understand that, you can see how many of the symptoms listed are connected to EMFs.

How can you protect yourself from EMF radiation?
Whew, that was a lot, but the best advice we can give is to KEEP IT SIMPLE SILLY. I bet you can think of a few ways to limit exposure yourself right away without DRASTICALLY changing your life. To start, 🔌🔌🔌 UNPLUG devices and appliances when you are not using them. Pretty simple, right?! BOOM! You are already on your way!
Here are some other ways to lessen EXPOSURE to EMFs:
- Use a battery powered alarm clock rather than your phone or one with a plug. ⏰⏰⏰
- Choose Thermostats and Appliances that do not use Wi Fi. Say goodbye to "Smart" devices when you can.
- Do not hold your cellphone up to your ear when talking. Use WIRED headphones or speaker phone.
- Do not keep your cellphone on your body all day. Keep it away from your body.
- If you must keep your cell phone in your bedroom place it on airplane mode.
- Replace fluorescent light bulbs with incandescent light bulbs.
- Do not stand in the room when the microwave is running. Or do not use one, even better!
- Turn off Wi-Fi at night or when not needed. You can actually still hard wire devices and skip wi-fi all together.
- Do not use laptop on your lap, especially when plugged in.
- Use wired keyboards and mouse.
- Connect computer to the internet through a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi.
- Turn off Bluetooth whenever possible
- Use pads and cases created for laptops, cell phones and other electronic devices made to block EMF.
There are many items you can add to your home that help. Not only are these items helpful by absorbing the radiation but they are often beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Some examples are:

And, of course, CARING FOR YOURSELF always helps.
