When to EXFOLIATE and How to Exfoliate:
This is a step you use WHEN NEEDED and definitely NOT EVERY DAY!  Use your Exfoliant AFTER you Cleanse, Step 1 and BEFORE Toner, Step 2.

Just like a mask protocol, this is an extra step when you would like extra pampering or recognize your skin can use a deeper treatment that your USUAL routine. 

Apply a small amount of Exfoliant to your face in circular motions, after cleansing. 
Just a few minutes to massage into your skin is all you need. Wipe away gently with a clean cloth and continue with Step 2, Toner.
